LIVING ROOM -- Fireplace, circular table, L-shaped sectional couch (queen-size sofa bed), miscellaneous chairs, coffee table, 25" TV, DVD/VCR player, two bookcases, hutch, and sideboard. Fireplace has double-walled insert with fan, which can be used either as open fireplace or as closed double-walled burner for secondary heating. Hardwood firewood is provided.
DINING ROOM -- Dining table with 4 chairs, hutch, small radio/CD player.
KITCHEN -- Fully equipped with gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee-maker, dishes, pots/pans, silverware, and utensils. Initial supply of consumables (light bulbs, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaners, etc.) is provided, but tenants are responsible for longer-term supplies.
BATHROOM -- Combined shower and large bathtub.
FRONT BEDROOM (BY L/R) -- King-size bed with bookcase-style headboard, reading lights, dresser, closet, clock-radio and telephone.
REAR BEDROOM (BY BATHROOM) -- Queen-size bed with bookcase-style headboard, night stand, reading lights, dresser with shelves, closet, clock-radio and telephone.
OFFICE -- Two Full-size desks, computer nook, built-in shelf space, telephone with answering machine.
PATIO -- Enclosed and private with sliding-glass door access from living room, patio table, umbrella, chairs, and charcoal barbeque.
YARD -- Approximately 1/4 acre with small lawn area, redwood trees, and dog run. Electric washer/dryer are located in a "witches-hat" shed in a redwood grove. Shed also serves as a dog-shelter area adjacent to the dog run.
Utilities and Miscellaneous
Electricity, propane gas, water, garbage service, telephone (unlimited within cotinental US), cable TV and broadband Internet service (cable modem + wireless LAN) are all provided as part of the rent. Heating is provided by gas wall heater in living room, direct-vent gas heater in rear bedroom (by bathroom), and electric floor heater in office area. Secondary heating is provided by fireplace insert in living room. Water heating is by electricity. Only cold water is available for clothes washing. No dish washer is provided. Two changes of towels and bedding provided. All rooms have wall-to-wall carpeting, other than kitchen and bathroom.
Pets
Cats are OK. For dogs, there is a large outside run adjacent to the "witches-hat" shed (see picture). The shed itself serves as a shelter for dogs during rainy weather. Up to 2 dogs are OK as long as they are friendly and do not bark excessively. The neighborhood, although rural, is of a residential nature with several small children, and loud or aggressive dogs can create a problem.
